This is a Blended Online and In-Person One Day Class Online portion must be completed before In-Person Skills class. In-Person skills class usually last for 2 hours. This program covers the required training for unlicensed staff involved with the management of medications and assisting with the self-administration of medications under Florida Rule 59A-36.008 Medication Practices. Unlicensed staff must complete this initial training provided prior to assisting a resident with medications. No pre-requisites or experience required). Steps to Medication Technician Training (Med Tech Training) 1. Take the Basic Medication Administration Training (this course), including passing validation for otic, transdermal, topical by simulation 2. Take the test, and pass – receive certificate Next Scheduled Part 2, In-Person class. Class dates are : October 13 from 11a - 1p October 19 from 1:30p - 3:30p
