Florida IV Therapy Course for Nurses

This is a blended course 24 Hours Online followed by a 6 hour in person hands-on skill class.  


This course meets the Florida IV Therapy Certification requirements for the state of Florida.  

All Nurses will receive 30 Contact hours through CE Broker.   

Requirement: 
1. Must have an active Florida Licensed Practical Nurse License (LPN) or Florida Registered Nurse License (RN).

Course Progression
This is a Blended Online and In-Person Course. 

Part 1. Complete the 24 hour Online course and obtain a partial certificate

Part 2. Complete the 6 hour In-Person hands-on skills session 

Part 3. Received IV Therapy Certification within 24 hours of course

Part 4. We will upload your 30 CEU's to CE Broker

  1.  Administration Methods

  2.  Blood and Blood Products Transfusion

  3.  Central Venous & Arterial Catheters

  4.  IV Pharmacology

  5.  Legalities, Infection Control and Safe Documentation

  6.  Parenteral Nutrition

  7.  Homeostasis and Regulatory Functions Relationship to IV Therapy

  8.  Venipuncture and  Maintenance 

  9. Hands-on IV skills lab (6 Hours)
